Christmas Eve

This year, we spent the Christmas Eve with MattiPappa and Raija at the Lohja cottage. Raija's daughter Anu and her family (Vesa, Miska and Vilja) were also there. We had a great time, and even Santa Claus paid a visit to us in the evening!

The days are very short this time of the year, so we took advantage of the few daylight hours spending them outdoors.



Heavy exercise for MattiPappa and Raija (Miska and Lina wanted to go up and down a small slope quite many times...).





Teo riding the sled for the first time in his life. He looked a bit confused first, but eventually fell asleep in the sled.




After the outing, we had a traditional Christmas dinner: ham, home-made cheese, carrot casserole, potato casserole, yellow turnip casserole, rye bread...




The highlight of the evening: Santa Claus arrives!


Lina and Miska helped Santa to deliver the presents:



Santa is sooo cool! Too bad MattiPappa had to be outside looking after Santa's reindeers, so he missed the whole thing.



We spent the rest of the evening playing with the new presents and just relaxing.
