First month in Finland

Okey, here's the first official post on our new English blog, featuring stories about our daily life back in Finland...! Hope you enjoy reading this. :)

We returned from Japan on August 26th (turned out to be the exactly same day when the weather turned cold and uncomfortable here after the summer.. Just our luck).

The whole September was more or less busy and chaotic. There are so many cardboard boxes to unpack, and so few square meters in our apartment. Basically, we lost half of our living space when we moved back. After luxurious 150 m2 in Tokyo we are back at 66.5 m2 again. It's not funny.

Here are few photos of our relocation chaos:

Lina in her own room! She was sooooooo happy to see all her toys again. (And as you can see, she went them all through one by one.)

This is our apartment house:

One absolute positive thing about being back in Finland is the nature. It's so green here!

During our first week here, we had a chance to meet Tokyo friends, namely Kriszta and his son Áron.

We visited great-grandma in Hartola last week. We had great time raking the yard.

Lina can be quite a handful...

Naturally, we have met lots of friends and relatives lately. Here's Jenni's brother Jani:

...and Lina's cousin Ella. Funny enough, I have stopped carrying my camera with me! Maybe because we are "just home" and it feels there's nothing special about it. It's a pity because there are already so many events missing from our photo gallery.

Lina started a new daycare on the 3rd of September. It's very near our place, and seems to be a nice and cozy place in general. Lina has adjusted just fine. Of course, the magic bunny follows here there, too...

This is Lina on her first daycare day:

Getting back to our old routines. Kauppi making our favourite pizza: pepperoni, tomato, onion, pineapple and blue cheese.

All in all, Lina (and us, too) have had a great time here. We do miss Japan, but so far, we have been so busy, we haven't had much time to think about this whole return thing yet. When the weather gets reeeeally bad, I'm sure I'll find myself checking the HEL-TYO flight prices on finnair.fi...

Finally, here are few images of Lina, just being her usual self:
