Snow, finally!

This winter has been extra lousy since we haven't had any decent snow so far - until last weekend (end of March, that is! I heard it's already hanami in Tokyo...). With decent I mean snow that would actually stay on the ground at least for one day. It has snowed few times all right, but it has always melted into this nasty slush already the same day. Anyway, we used this rare opportunity to take Lina for a ride in a sled.

This is typical winter outfit for Finnish kids:

Riding the sled:

Lina was sitting stubbornly in the sled even though there wasn't snow plenty enough all the time...

We also stopped by the nearby playground.

Lina got frustrated with the too-difficult-to-climb rope stairs and demonstrated her feelings by lying on the ground:

After the outing, she fell asleep on my lap:

Hello!!

In Japan, it is spring now.
Warm days are going on.
Cherry trees bloomed in the full bloom late last week.

Please say Happy Birthday! to Lina.
I feel very glad that Lina grows up.
