December events

Well, it's been 3 MONTHS since my last posting... This is getting really embarrassing. I really try to write more often, but somehow the time just flies. I guess now when I'm working again, it just drains me so that in the evenings I don't have any energy left. But the good news is that in 2 months, I'm going to be on maternity leave again, so hopefully I have plenty of time for blogging after that. :)

Anyways, here are few images taken before Christmas. I'll post some Christmas pictures later, featuring Santa Claus and everything! But here we are doing preparations for Christmas, for example baking gingerbreads and having a Christmas tree at home. And yes, it was a real spruce, not a plastic one!

Gingerbreads burn really easily, so it's better to sit by the oven and watch them bake:

Yummy!

Our Christmas tree:

Here are few random images, too. Lina really enjoys imitating me... She likes to wear my clothes, for example.

In Autumn, I rejoined my old choir, KYN. This is our vocal group of fantastic, low pitch ladies.

This weird-looking sport is called Nordic walking. The idea is that you have the poles but no skis. Walking with these is said to burn 10 % more energy than regular walking. That still doesn't mean you wouldn't look stupid while doing so... Anyway, it's a kind of Finnish national sports nowadays.

Having fun at Grandpa's place. Lina is a big fan of Lego blocks.

My good old friends. We go back to elementary school, and sometimes I feel we never left it in the first place, judged by the quality of our jokes and stuff. The little guy on the left is my godson, Veeti.
