Older images (Spring)

I found a folder full of images I already had resized to fit the blog, but then forgot to put them here... Since I'd already seen the trouble of choosing and resizing them, I thought I might as well put them here, even though they come a bit late. So, here's a potpourri of different events from the Spring.

Lina's cousin Ella's 4-years birthday party. Uncle Arni is performing stunning magic tricks:

Cousins:

Lina reading a book with Kauppi. It's actually a Japanese (hiragana) picture book, very nice one. If you zoom in, you can spot some Japanese delicacies on the page, such as もち (mochi) and せんべい (senbei).

Artist at work:

Lina likes puzzles (the biggest one she has done so far is 104 piece-Moomin puzzle - I only helped with few pieces).

Another her favourite is a children's educative dvd full of all kind of activities and games. For example, she learned the Alphabets with this!

Sleeping:

Having fun with a swing in a park:

In another park on another day:

A pretty tall slide:

Afternoon tea with Mummi:

On the lakeside promenade in Lahti with Mummi and Heino:

Finnish hanami! Last year, the Finnish Japanese friendship association has planted few cherry trees in a park in Helsinki. This Spring, they organised a hanami there. I must say, after seeing the real one in Japan, this wasn't that impressive... But it's a good start!

Hanging out at MattiPappa's and Raija's place in Lohja:

Visiting Greatgrandma in Hartola in May:

On a walk on a sunny Spring day:

A certain sign of Spring: lots and lots of flowers called "valkovuokko" emerge. (Wikipedia says it's windflower or wood anemone in English.)
